Our REALTOR® of the Year is a person of many gifts, talents, and interests.  When our recipient was a small child dreaming of what they could be when they grew up…before deciding to be a REALTOR®, they could have chosen any one of many professions…here are just of few they would have been good at …

 Or, our REALTOR® could have been a teacher or counselor.  They are always willing to help new agents by giving them instructions and advice in many different areas of Real Estate and other subjects.

Our REALTOR® is good with facts and trivia, they could have been a winner on shows like Jeopardy, Name That Tune, Wheel of Fortune, and they even would be good on Dancing With The Stars.  Yes, our REALTOR® also enjoys dancing!

This individual also enjoys their own cooking.  They even make their own jams and jellies, offering some of their specialties as gifts to friends.  Some day they could have had their own cooking show on HGTV.

This REALTOR® loves to debate, argue, and persuade others passionately and powerfully.  They could have been a great attorney, an arbitrator, or mediator … better yet, a politician.

Always analyzing details, compiling statistics, checking measurements that they would have made a good architect or engineer, but they chose to be a REALTOR®.

Or maybe they could be a photographer, always so particular about their photos, the camera is always ready.

This person could have been a world class sports caster – they know all sorts of stats, scores, and worthless trivia about basketball, football, baseball, hockey, and even soccer, but they chose the profession that give them the time to do all this and more…being a REALTOR®. 

Our REALTOR ® of the Year could have been a Reunion Planner.  They have cultivated a large family website that keeps the West Coast and the East Coast of this huge family in touch with each other. 

Our REALTOR® loves working in the garden – growing their own fruits, vegetables –keeping their yard looking top notch- they could have been a landscaper, gardener or farmer.  They love sharing all that they fruits of their efforts from their garden. 

They could have been a great TV or movie critic because they love watching movies, old sitcoms, police and crime shows, and especially enjoyed American Idol and other talent reality shows .So many favorites…they know many of the scripts by heart. 

SO HOW DID OUR REALTOR® of the Year chose to be a REALTOR®?

Our REALTOR® first came to California in 1959, almost making them a native. They moved around a bit and landed in the West LA area, graduating from Santa Monica College in 1971 with an AA in Business Administration.  Then, later that year they settled in the San Fernando Valley.  In 1972, they obtained their Real Estate Sales License and immediately gained recognition for their success as a Top Listing and Selling Agent in the Valley.

In 1974, they were the recipient of “The Real Estate Certificate Institute” from Pierce College and also completed the “Certified Residential Specialist” (CRS) course. Becoming a Licensed Real Estate Broker in 1974 and shortly thereafter opened their own real estate firm, one of the Valley’s largest and most successful offices.  As the Responsible broker, our REALTOR® supervised thousands of real estate transactions for some 11 years.

Returning to full-time real estate sales, our REALTOR® of the Year returned as a successful top producer in Listing and Selling Real Estate and then managed several offices throughout the San Fernando Valley.  They are still actively successful in Real Estate Sales and an integral part of our industry serving on various boards and committees.

Our recipient is the 2^nd oldest of 4 children, has been married to the same person for 49 years (that alone is amazing), with 3 children & 4 grandchildren.  Born in Pennsylvania, served our country in the US Air Force stationed in San Antonio, TX and then finished their service in Victorville, CA.

Our REALTOR® of the Year supports many charities, their favorite at Christmas time, involves the adoption of 3-4 needy families through the Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services to help make their Christmas a little more special.

Our REALTOR® of the Year enjoys spending time with Keifer Sutherland, Jerry Seinfeld, George Costanza, Michael Chiklis, Glenn Close, Forrest Whitaker, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, Robert De Niro, Tony & Carmela Soprano, Elaine Benes, Kramer, Susan Miller, Teresa Todd, Syd Leibovitch…  So if you haven’t figured out who this is as yet…you don’t know our REALTOR® of the Year very well.  Italian through and through…pasta is his favorite food…except for maybe Baja Fresh…
